MUS 410: Electronic Music is an exploration of cutting-edge electronic music techniques through composition, reading, discussion, and listening. This course centers on the use of Pro Tools and other software to create original, electronic music compositions.
Topics include:
- History of electronic music
- Introduction to the electronic music studio
- Electronic music literature
- Basic acoustics
- Introduction to sound design
Students who have completed MUS 410 may opt to continue their exploration of electronic music by enrolling in independent study courses.
